Identifier For Advertisers (IDFA)
Apple’s Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) is a random device identifier assigned to iOS devices.
IDFA tracking is used to track users who interact with app installs and in-app ads. Since the tracking is random, there is no violation of a user’s privacy. IDFA tracking is enabled on devices by default, however, users are able to opt-out at any time by enabling the Limit Ad Tracking (LAT) feature on their iOS device. In 2021, Apple deprecated the IDFA in iOS 15 but there are still active devices with older iOS versions that are using this identifier.
